Riding safely at night

More drunk or sleepy drivers are out at night. Plus, in the dark, many drivers have trouble understanding what they're seeing and recognizing obstacles like you.

On roads with no shoulder or bike lane, you have to ride in one of its lanes. This is especially dangerous at night. Instead, you should use a different route entirely, if possible.

You could try to monitor your mirror when you realize that a car will pass you. While you do that, think of how to escape if the car is coming too close.
